Slack notifications & daily reports

Send subscription events and a daily metrics digest to Slack, so churn spikes and big new subscriptions reach your team the moment they happen.

Connect Slack

  1. Authorize the workspace

In Organization → Integrations, click Connect to Slack. Slack’s standard OAuth dialog opens; pick the workspace and approve. That’s the whole connection: no bot tokens to copy, and you can disconnect from the same place at any time.

  2. Invite the bot where needed

Notifications are posted to the channels you pick per rule. For private channels, invite the Partner Metrics app in Slack first so it is allowed to post there.

Notification rules

Rules live in Organization → Notifications. Each rule selects the apps it watches, the events it fires on, and the Slack channel it delivers to:

  • Lifecycle events: installed, uninstalled (with the uninstall reason), subscribed, upgraded, downgraded, unsubscribed and trial expirations
  • A friendly one-line message per event, with the store name linked to its detail page and the trial end date attached to new subscriptions
  • Per-rule pause and resume: a paused rule sends nothing until you re-enable it
  • A test button on every rule that delivers a realistic sample message to the configured channel

The daily report

The daily report is one Slack message per app, sent every day and sorted so your largest app (by MRR) comes first. Each message is a compact grid of headline metrics (MRR, active subscriptions, installs, churn and more), and each value carries its change versus the previous day in the metric’s own unit: dollars for money, counts for counts, percentage points for rates. No misleading “growth rate up 47%” relative math.

Branded senders

Messages can post under each app’s own name and logo instead of a generic bot, which makes a multi-app channel readable at a glance. For the logo to appear:

  • Upload a PNG or JPG logo in the app's settings; Slack does not accept SVG avatars
  • Make sure your Slack connection was made recently enough to include the customization permission; if names and logos don't appear, disconnect and reconnect Slack once
Stores that Shopify has redacted (closed shops) are never shown as “REDACTED”. Partner Metrics uses the store’s earliest known name, its subdomain, or “a store” as a fallback.
